Yeah, the cheaper instant pots are genuinely horrible, and since the company went bankrupt, they're just getting worse. The Ninja equivalent is far better (if a little pricier) at actually not throwing errors half the time. https://www.amazon.com/Ninja-FD302-6-5-qt-Pressure-Stainless/dp/B08YP4NHQM?sr=8-1 (fair warning, it will pressure cook slightly faster)
Man, what a huge shame to see that the newer Instant Pots suck. I've also heard lots of complaints about new ones. I got mine years ago and it only ever failed to come to pressure twice; both times it was because I had washed the inner seal and then not put it back on correctly. I'll have to think twice now before recommending them to people.
Seconding the Hamilton rice cooker. I have the 8 cup version and it's fantastic. Perfectly cooked rice every time without having to wait for water to boil before setting timers, setting another timer for the resting step, guessing how long that particular stove needs, etc.
Careful with the licorice, especially if you have high blood pressure.
Came here to say the same. Licorice tea is amazing at raising low blood pressure.
Oh, I didn't know that

Thanks, good to know. I think I was going off the reputation that Instant Pot built before the bankruptcy lol. Didn't know about any of that.

Plus it's really affordable. I'm sure the Japanese ones are nice but $200 c'mon man
