"Keto AF"

That wasn't what I thought the "A F" stood for.

we should launch a 'keto asf' movement

You know what they say about the 2nd best time to plant a tree..

The second best time to plant a tree is when you find yourself standing next to a potted sapling and a sharp spade on soft ground in nice weather surrounded by heart-breakingly beautiful environmental activists most of whom are unmarried daughters of the sexually adventurous arm of the ruling class, but no-one's brought any LSD?

You say "Note that the 3 tests on the same date (vertical line) were fed vs. fasted", but the ascii table that follows lists every one of those rows as fasted. Did you misplace something?

Experimental Fat Loss's avatar

Oh, duh, you're right. The 3rd on that day was fed. I've updated the post, thanks.

I have one in there that's a few months ago, not-fasted, medium LA avoidance. Hopefully in a month or two, I can donate one that's fasted, with high LA avoidance.

On your Omega data you have other metrics that may provide additional insights. You often refer the reader to Wikileaks for further explanation. Do you have your own write ups on these additional metrics and what the mean? I trust you.

Wikileaks! I don't think I've mentioned Wikileaks? :)

Unfortunately I don't have tons of super concrete insights besides "high LA bad." There are a few context/caveat things to the LA thing, but not many. In short, some people seem to have super low LA but it's probably just diluted by super high lipogenesis. This seems to happen in very lean people. In cases like that, it can be useful to check the LA over o6 or LA over total PUFA ratio, or really anything else that would show us if a dilution effect is happening or not. But for most people, this doesn't seem to be an issue.

I have a few ratio calculators that Brad Marshall mentions in his Fire in a Bottle videos: https://omega.exfatloss.com/ratios

But tbh I'm not sure what they mean.

Should we test fasted or Fed

I recommend fasted. Just overnight is fine, no need to go crazy. I just test first thing in the morning before I drink coffee (cause of the cream in my coffee).
