I find I do well on Keto, having dabbled in it starting 12 years ago. But I also really like sugar. And Potatoes. I just don't like how hungry a honey-type diet makes me (and I know you've mentioned that as well). I've never tried a full-on potato diet but imagine I would enjoy it.

Thanks for linking your fuel partitioning post. That was really worth revisiting. In retrospect, I think it's one of the best summaries of what we "know" about fighting obesity that I've read anywhere.

Keto beliefs are tethered to a model. A model that claims to posit determinate outcomes based on a suite of inputs. Ketard is a basically a system of faith based eating.
Evidence is only occasionally useful in keto-apologetics.
To be fair, the people who dismiss unheard what you are saying in favor of their diet dogmas might also just dislike you personally. We've never seen the kind of conversations these ketards have with each other behind closed doors when we high-disagreeableness chaps aren't around.
This opens up a whole can of worms, but I have seen how many, not all, obesity/weight issues are a deeper defense and survival mechanism that stem from psychological and/or emotional trauma held in the body. Hence why everyone has a different response to most any "diet", and just changing your external association to food doesn't begin to touch upon the roots of the matter.
It's so hard to re-evaluate the diet that removed 100 lbs from me, but it seems to have reached the limit of effectiveness for me. I see others that seem to easily achieve their ideal weight and keep trying to imitate what they have done. But the weight refuses to drop unless I start fasting. Very frustrating!

Yup, same. "Just do X it worked for me!" Yea but I did it harder than you and it did not work.
Gotta experiment more until we find The One that works for us heh :)
